Stacey Martin is a dedicated professional and community leader with a passion for youth development and mentorship. With over three decades of experience in program management, staff supervision, and educational initiatives, Stacey currently serves as Senior Program Director overseeing youth programs, staff development, and fiscal compliance to create meaningful community impact.
Beyond Stacey’s professional achievements, she is deeply committed to her community. Stacey has served as a leader with the Daughters of Esther Mentorship Program, which provides personal and career development for young women aged 10 to 18, Broward Aware, a comprehensive awareness initiative designed to promote child safety and wellbeing in Broward County. This campaign encompasses a broad range of media to ensure that families, educators, law enforcement, and other stakeholders in Broward County have access to and share resources that enable children to safely achieve their full potential. It focuses on preventing child abuse and neglect and includes various activities and events that support this cause. Stacey and her husband founded The Martin Foundation, a foundation developed to educate the community and bring awareness to prostate cancer. Stacey sits on numerous boards and has been recognized by ShoutOut Miami and Voyage Miami Magazines as local community leader.
Continuing the legacy of her late mother, Wanda Brown-Claitty, Stacey created The SHERO Candle Collection, a brand dedicated in her memory. Stacey is also the owner and operator of the SHERO Mentoring Program (Strong Healthy Educated Responsible Outstanding Young Woman), a mentorship initiative for high school females that began in Connecticut where non-profits were trained by the City of Hartford to facilitate this program. SHERO was also offered in Charlotte, North Carolina to at risk schools and will available in North and South Florida for the 2025-2026 school year. The program, originally founded by Wanda, empowers young women to embrace their potential and achieve success in their personal and academic lives.
Stacey holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Bethune-Cookman University and brings expertise in mentoring, program innovation, and academic advising. A passionate advocate for education, empowerment, and community engagement, Stacey’s work continues to inspire and uplift future generations. Stacey is a wife, mother and grandmother to 3 beautiful grandchildren and currently resides in South Florida.
