Gary Mason

Gary is a storyteller, actor, author, and retired U.S. Navy sailor—though not always in that order. He caught the acting bug back in middle school, but like many great plot twists, life had other plans. After being way too cool for drama in high school, he went on to serve 20 years in the Navy, followed by another 20 years as a civil servant, where he learned the fine arts of discipline, paperwork, and how to drink really bad coffee.

Now twice retired and finally off the clock, Gary is diving headfirst into the fun stuff: acting, writing, and the occasional half-respectable round of golf. Whether he's on stage or on the page, his love of storytelling is fueled by a deep curiosity about people, history, and what makes us tick (and laugh, cry, or awkwardly clear our throats during emotional scenes).

He splits his time between Summerville, South Carolina and his RV in Kearneysville, West Virginia, where he keeps up with the grandkids, plots creative projects, and occasionally pretends to be a responsible adult.
