L. Harrington has enjoyed writing humorous, light-hearted poetry since adolescence. Break a toe on a doorstop? A poem will be written within the hour. Turning 50? An “Ode to 50” will appear in your next birthday card. But heart-searching poetry? Not until the death of her brother brought her to therapy and a journey through the grief of his loss, and then the journey through the grief of being an adult child of an alcoholic.

L. Harrington lives in Connecticut with her husband. They have two adult children. She loves baking, gardening, reading, photography, and kayaking the quiet waters of Connecticut.
