Dan C. Marinescu

Dr. Dan C. Marinescu was a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Central Florida, with a distinguished career that spans decades in academia and research. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest. Before joining UCF, he was as a professor of Computerr Science at Purdue University for 17 years. Dan Marinescu has been a visiting professor at institutions worldwide, including INRIA Paris and Tsinghua University in Beijing. Dr. Marinescu's research interests include quantum computing, cloud computing, and parallel algorithms. He is the author of several influential books in the field, including "Cloud Computing: Theory and Practice," and has been recognized with numerous awards, such as the Ernest T.S. Walton Award by the Science Foundation of Ireland.
