Katy Phoon

Born in Hong Kong and raised in Macau and Sydney, Katy Phoon turned to writing after over twenty years as a lawyer in the satellite industry. Her debut novel, A FINE PIECE OF JADE, is based on stories of her mother's childhood growing up with the French nuns in Wuhan, China, during World War II and the rise of Communist China.
