Peter JR Smith is a pastor, author, and lifelong student of the Bible with a passion for making Jesus’ teachings clear, engaging, and accessible in today’s world.

Having begun his career in engineering before switching to full time ministry, Peter brings a rare blend of faithful Biblical insight and real-world experience into his writing. His accessible approach and warm sense of humour helps readers engage with the words of the Bible.

Based in the rural Cotswolds, Peter is part of the ministry team at St.David’s, Moreton in Marsh; conservative evangelical members of the North Cotswold Gospel Partnership. The Gospel Partnerships are a growing network of UK Bible believing churches, seeking to reach the country with the life changing news of Jesus.

When not working, Peter spends time with his wife and three children, ideally (but not always) travelling. He enjoys drawing cartoons, roasting coffee, churning butter, and taking on diy projects of increasing ambition.
