Rita Gould

Rita Gould, also known as Margarita Galkina, is a Russian-born watercolor artist from Voronezh, currently residing in

Staffordshire, UK. Her illustrations are characterized by intricate details, vibrant colors, and rich textures. Rita channels her

passion into creating nature-themed stationery products, including calendars, greeting cards.

After moving to the UK and welcoming her son, Rita shifted her focus to watercolor and gouache. This pivotal change allowed her to find joy in painting nature, regardless of her exhaustion from motherhood. Over the years, she developed

a unique style that blends loose watercolor techniques with detailed brushwork, focusing on subjects like insects, plants, and

woodland creatures.

In recent years, Rita has expanded her artistic pursuits to include teaching watercolor skills both online and in-person,

offering a variety of workshops in her local community. She runs an online watercolor education platform on Patreon, where she

shares essential techniques and insights for aspiring artists, helping beginners gain confidence in their artistic journeys.
