Dan Tannacito

Born in New York City, I have always been fascinated by the abundance and variety of human life. I discovered my ability to write as an undergraduate at Boston College. I earned two doctorates (English Literature and Applied Linguistics) at the University of Oregon. I taught writing in China, Turkey, Italy and the U.S. Writing has been the common theme of my career teaching at universities in the U.S. and globally.

As an audience-oriented author, I pay special attention to the demands of the particular genre in which I write. This includes autobiography and history, career improvement, and life stories. I used my editorial skills as a writing teacher, journal editor, and the director of over sixty dissertations to facilitate the act of reading across generations, genders, and ethnicities.

My first novel--Murder at Point Lookout Beach--draws from my experience and social agency in the mid-sixties.
