R. Stanek is a master of bug-sized mischief, epic snack-fueled quests, and stories that make kids laugh, cheer, and maybe learn something sneaky about teamwork. He's the creator of Bugville Critters™, Big Little Adventures™, and a whole cast of curious bugs with big feelings and even bigger imaginations.

Now celebrating 20 years of Bugville Critters! What started as a single story has become a beloved world of more than 100 books read by people around the globe.

When he's not writing books, he’s dreaming up new gadgets for Buster Bee, inventing jelly bean treasure maps, or reading comics upside down. He firmly believes that every bug can be a hero, and every story should end with a smile (and possibly a cookie).

Fun Fact: R. Stanek once tried to build a working rocket out of cardboard and string cheese. It did not fly. But the story? Epic.
