Steve Baley

Steve Baley is a Mississippi author whose three book series draw on decades of experience in healthcare, military service, Christian ministry, education, and the outdoors. His books help readers understand Scripture, strengthen relationships, and develop practical wisdom for everyday life.

Baley worked in the medical field for nearly thirty years and served for nearly thirty years in the military reserves, including the Mississippi Air National Guard. He has spent many years in vocational ministry, taught briefly at secondary-school and college levels, and served on the mission field in Africa for several years. He holds AA degrees in social sciences and allied health, a BS in social science, an MBA, and a diploma in biblical studies. These experiences inform his understanding of people’s struggles, responsibilities, relationships, and capacity for growth, and his conviction that learning should shape how we think, live, and care for others.

The Christian Men’s Table Series addresses men’s spiritual and practical responsibilities as husbands, fathers, sons, friends, colleagues, and church members. Grounded in Scripture and a conservative evangelical perspective, it connects biblical teaching with everyday challenges. Are You the One, or Should We Look for Another? explores doubt, expectation, and faith in Jesus Christ when God’s work differs from our expectations. Held in His Hand: Learning to Trust the God Who Holds Time examines faith, patience, and dependence on God when His timing is difficult to understand. The Woman You Gave Me: How Blame, Seduction, and Spiritual Abdication Destroy Men examines biblical examples of misplaced blame and neglected responsibility, calling men to own their choices, lead humbly, and seek restoration through Christ. Thoughtful studies and practical applications help new believers and mature Christians deepen their walk with God.

The Eyewitness Chronicles Series explores the human experiences within biblical history through imaginative storytelling informed by Scripture. Before the Rooster Crowed follows Peter through his brother Andrew’s eyes, tracing his calling, failures, denial, and restoration as Jesus forms him into a man of faith. Her Side of the Story: The Women Who Shared the Lives of Biblical Men uses imagined journal entries to explore women’s experiences alongside familiar biblical figures.
