I am proud to announce the 2nd Editions of my books with fresh new looks and a few timely updates. The 1st Editions were published in 2020 and received 5-star ratings on Amazon with numerous comments: “Found myself actually laughing out loud in several places in the book”, “Good Reading”, “Very entertaining and laugh out loud funny”, “Highly recommend”, to name a few.
I was born during World War II in southwestern Oklahoma. My mother was a school teacher and my father an Army Sergeant. Most of my growing up years were in the Texas Panhandle where I learned the value of a man’s word and a handshake.
I started writing about my life experiences, although not diligently, shortly after retiring. It started as my history to pass onto my family. I have written about the many things I have done and seen, and the numerous people I have met along the way.
I have also co-authored a book for the US Government published by the Washington National Press. And, being a seasoned public speaker on economic development in Rural communities, I was asked to write a speech for a US Senator which was given to a joint session of Congress for which I received a Congressional Commendation signed by the then President.
Today, I live in east central Oklahoma after retiring from the casino business in 2007. Out of the fast lane and living in a small town. It has been a big difference from the 20 years living in Las Vegas Nevada and, I must admit, very enjoyable.
Married for 44 years, my wife and I still have a very active life. We and our 2 chihuahua mix dogs, who are rescues, enjoy traveling and have met many great and interesting people along the way. Since I am a talker and haven’t met a stranger yet, we hope to meet more people in the future.
At 75 years-old, I finished telling my story for all to enjoy. Now at 80, my life has and is still interesting and exciting every day.
