Eleni Tassopoulos Wehner

Eleni Tassopoulos Wehner is the author of the ROSCOE & IVY series (Barefoot Books, Autumn 2025). The first two books, ROSCOE & IVY: MY DINOSAUR SHOES and ROSCOE & IVY: THE CLEAN-UP MONSTER, are based on real-life strategies Eleni uses with her own neurodivergent children. She began writing picture books after noticing the lack of realistic representation of autistic and other neurodivergent children and their families. As an AuDHD woman herself, she was able to think outside the box to develop strategies that worked for her family. Her goal is to help build confidence in children while lessening the mental and emotional burden of their parents and caregivers.

Eleni’s home is where all her kids’ friends come to hang out. Whether it’s their annual Halloween party or a weekend Nerf battle, there is plenty of chaos and laughter. Her parenting style is compassionate, loving, and silly with a touch of “We CAN do difficult things!”.
