Joanne Watkinson has been an accomplished author of drama books for the past decade. With nearly 30 years of teaching experience, she has led a performing arts faculty in a secondary school, examined GCSE and A-Level students, and currently serves as the principal of a successful theatre school and casting agency in the North of England. Her work has been featured in the 2019 LAMDA Acting Anthology (Volume 4), enabling young performers worldwide to stage her plays.
To date, Joanne has directed over 70 plays and shows for young performers and continues to write for the stage, with a revision of her debut play "A Striking Friendship" currently underway. Joanne is a proficient storyteller across various genres. Notably in 2024, two of her novel openings were selected for the Crimebits Anthology, judged by Lee Childs, and her genre-busting short story received high commendation from The Writers Magazine.
