Lee Hansen was born into an Army family. She has lived in several countries and explored many more. Lee graduated with honors, earning a degree in Early Childhood Education and a master’s degree in International Affairs. After retiring from a career as a Naval Flight Officer, she founded The Global Corner, a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching kids about other countries and cultures. Since its inception in 2008, The Global Corner team has led more than 100,000 students on "virtual adventures" to countries around the world. Lee and her husband live in Pensacola, Florida. Together they have five married children and sixteen well above average grandchildren. They share a home with their two dogs, Raven, a Labrador, and Lulu, a Plott Hound.
