Thomas A. Coogan

Tom Coogan holds degrees from Washington University in St. Louis (Ph.D. in Neuroscience; M.B.A.) and from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (B.S.). He has been a member of Nassau Presbyterian Church in Princeton, New Jersey for 20+ years where he has served as Elder, Deacon and softball coach. Equal parts Deadhead and student of the Bible, he laments the misunderstandings that persist between those communities when he finds them mutually reinforcing and perceives that they have much in common in their attitudes about the things that matter most. His book is an effort to bridge that divide by arguing from Scripture that the current state of the Deadhead movement has meaningful similarities to the early decades of the Jesus movement.
