Susannah White

After studying English and Drama at Swansea University, Susannah trained as a teacher at Southampton University then studied for an M.A in Writing for Children at King Alfred’s College, Winchester, and for a B.Phil in teaching Religious Education through Westminster College, Oxford. She taught English, R.E, and Study Skills at a number of secondary schools.

In 1991 Susannah won success as a fiction writer, being shortlisted for the Ian St James Awards, and in 1998 she was awarded a grant by the Jerusalem Trust for creating resources relating Creative Writing to Religious Education.

Susannah’s poetry was longlisted for the international Erbacce Prize in 2020, and she won the national Swanwick Writing School poetry competition in 2015.

Susannah specialises in writing workbooks and educational resources for Creative Writing, English and Religious Education.
