Vítor Rodrigues da Costa was born in 1954 in Lisbon. After completing his military service and working in various jobs that enriched his life experience, he began teaching in 1978 as a secondary and preparatory school teacher. In 1986, he joined the public administration, where he worked at the Directorate-General for Fisheries and the Inspectorate-General for Fisheries, building a solid career. Throughout this journey, he held several positions and assumed leadership roles.
Retired from public service since 2008, Vítor has calmly devoted himself to other activities that have always attracted him: he practiced Traditional Chinese Medicine, immersed himself in reflection, writing, and painting, deepening a multifaceted life rich in interests.
He holds degrees in Biology and Traditional Chinese Medicine, fields that reflect his enduring curiosity about life, nature, and the human being.
Among the several books he has published since his retirement—reflecting on human knowledge and evolution—stands out his most recent and comprehensive work, titled The Paradox of Existence.
In this book, he explores the deepest mysteries of the universe, addressing themes such as cosmic origins, primordial energy, gravity, and the possibility of a complementary antiverse. By combining science and philosophy, he challenges readers to question the foundations of reality and reflect on the very meaning of existence.
