Giuseppe Lago

Giuseppe Lago is a long-time psychiatrist, writer and essayist for many years. He worked for several years in public facilities, in clinical and hospital environments. In 2004 he founded a School of Specialization in Psychotherapy, recognized by the Ministry of University, of which he was director for sixteen years until 2019, graduating more than 100 psychotherapists. Among the most important books, he wrote: Integrated Psychodynamic Psychotherapy: the bases and the method (Alpes Italia, 2006), Mesmer's Illusion (Castelvecchi, 2014), Compendium of Psychotherapy (Franco Angeli, 2016). Among the novels, the following stand out: La Fuoriuscita (Alpes Italia, 2017) and La linea spezzata dei sogni (Robin ed., 2019). In his latest book: Psychopathology and Psychotherapy (Alpes Italia, 2024), the author summarizes his great wealth of professional and didactic experience, providing updates and critiques of fundamental topics in clinical psychotherapy.
