I’m E. Selim, an Egyptian writer and novelist with a background in civil engineering.

Though I come from a scientific field, I found in literature a sanctuary — a space to explore questions that can’t be measured in numbers but are felt deeply in the heart.

I’m drawn to the spiritual and emotional dimensions of human experience, and I believe writing is more than words — it’s a way to discover the self and share light with others.

My debut novel, Lighter Than Light, is a meditative journey through grief, love, and inner transformation — written not in search of answers, but in pursuit of honesty.

In everything I write, I aim to build a genuine connection with the reader — one grounded in depth, attentiveness, and a shared longing for something purer than language.
