Tony Luke

Tony Luke was born in Derbyshire and studied theology and ecclesiastical history at Downing College, Cambridge. He is now retired, but has lived and ministered as an Anglican priest in Derby and South Derbyshire for the last 40 years and is well known as a keen local historian. It was while standing in the atmospheric 8th century crypt at Repton, that he was inspired to write a story about the arrival of the Great Heathen Army in the year 873. The Bones of Mercia is his first historical novel.
