Andrew Nagy

Andrew was once sent to Geneva to interview the French Algerian icon Zinedine Zidane, only for Zizou to pull out at the last minute and be replaced by the Boyzone frontman, Ronan Keating. It was not ‘like for like’, as the football commentator Barry Davies might say of a late substitution – and it would transpire that Keating knew very little about winning World Cups. But Andrew rolled with the punch and got the job done. It's this type of stoicism that has seen him write for the likes of GQ, Esquire, Men’s Health, Mundial and more over the last 10 years. He currently lives in Amsterdam, and The Battle for Newcastle United is his first book.
