Piotr Bardzik

I am the one on the left.  The one on the right is Pietro Gonella (Firenze, 1390 circa – Ferrara, 1441) a court jester in the service of d'Este family - the lords of Ferrara.

We share the same name, some facial features and the flair for the humorous. When I say 'we share' I mean only directionally.  I do not imply, nor pretend, that I can offer the quality of humorous material that comes anywhere close to that of good old Piero.

An aspiring court jester, a bean counter nearing retirement.

I discovered the joy of reading well past the age of fifty. Simultaneously, I have developed a seeming insatiable crave for sense-making of the turbulent world around me. My regular journaling gave me some solace whenever sense-making efforts fell short of my expectations.

'Fact Denounced as a Four-Letter Word' is my first publication.  It is, in essence, a distillate of three thousand accidental thoughts noted over the period of eight years.

'Washington Post Is Switching Off Lights' is my second book. This one took only eight months to compile. In hindsight, my note taking must have been somewhat improved.
