TANAYA TI’EN is an accredited Yoga Therapist, Yoga Teacher, Ayurvedic Lifestyle Coach, and Author. She is the founder of Mind Body Collective Australia, and has served on the committee of the Australasian Association of Yoga Therapists (AAYT) and the AUSactive Yoga Therapy Advisory Group, contributing to the development of Yoga Therapy in Australia. Accolades include the 2024 AUSactive Yoga Therapist of the Year Award. Tanaya's work centres on the mind-body connection and the psyche’s key role in illness, wellness, and healing.
With experience spanning over three decades in mind-body research and practice, including extensive studies in India, Spain, Indonesia, the UK, and Australia, Tanaya’s philosophy is that the path of yoga can be transformational for everyone, regardless of physical capacity, age, or religion.
Motivated by the growing need for holistic healthcare that addresses the root cause of symptoms, Tanaya is dedicated to expanding the accessibility of Yoga Therapy in Australia and beyond, and is a leading advocate for Yoga Therapy as an effective and complementary treatment for mental health conditions, trauma, addiction, and other imbalances affecting the mind and body.
When she’s not on the yoga mat, Tanaya is a registered civil celebrant and, above all, a mum—and lifelong student. She divides her time between Perth and Denmark in Western Australia, where she lives with her favourite humans and her furry companions—Florence the Dalmatian and Turbo, the rescue cat.
