Bernhard Mrak

Bernhard Mrak (born November 5, 1974, in Leoben) lives and works in Vienna as a freelance writer and actor. After completing his training at a drama school, he has been active both on stage and behind the scenes – as a performer, among others, for SHAD Performance, and as a screenwriter for RAN Film Vienna.

His writing focuses on the human within the interpersonal – on subtle tensions, everyday absurdities, and the things that happen between the lines. Whether prose, dialogue, or scenic text: Mrak is drawn to stories that are quiet, honest, and sometimes uncomfortable.
