Deborah Share

Deborah Share spent her career in the Philadelphia School District as a special education teacher, school counselor, and administrator. Her work centered around helping children who often faced tremendous emotional, behavioral, and life challenges—alongside learning differences. Known for her compassionate, steady presence, Deborah was affectionately nicknamed “Care Bear Share” by her colleagues.

Throughout her years in education, she witnessed the painful reality that some children move through life never knowing what it feels like to be “loved best” by someone. These were the children who carried invisible stories—the ones who needed safe arms, kind words, and someone to truly see them. Their experiences left a lifelong imprint on her Deborah's heart and became the emotional foundation for her writing.

Since retiring, Deborah’s most cherished role is being “MomMom” to her eight grandchildren. She delights in telling them stories—tales that spark imagination, inspire kindness, and gently remind them that not all children have the same privileges. Through her stories, she teaches that every child deserves to feel safe, seen, and deeply loved.

Deborah lives in Pennsylvania with her husband, Scott, and their dog, Malani.
