Hi, I’m M.K. Davis, author of stories inspired by the moments that shape us.

What began as a love of journaling and storytelling grew into a passion for writing books filled with heart, hope, and connection. My debut novel, Beneath the Unfolding, explores healing, love, and second chances. Later, a cherished childhood memory inspired The Freckled Mermaid, a picture book celebrating courage, belonging, and the beauty of being yourself.

My newest children's book, Back and Forth, was inspired by a walk along the shores of Grand Isle, Louisiana. Through the story of a small shorebird named Pip, readers discover that courage often begins with a single step.

When I'm not writing, you'll find me savoring slow mornings with coffee, hiking, and spending time with my family and fur babies. I write to connect and I hope my stories bring comfort, spark imagination, and remind readers that even small moments can hold something beautiful.
