John S Collier

About the Author

John S. Collier, MSW, LCSW, is a seasoned behavioral health therapist, writer, poet, Master Mason, and devoted student of sacred symbolism. With over 25 years of experience in behavioral health, counseling, and spiritual mentorship, John brings a unique voice to the connection between emotional healing, moral growth, faith, and the search for meaning.

He is the founder and clinical director of Southeast Kentucky Behavioral Health, LLC, where he has served countless individuals and families through compassionate, purpose-driven care. His work as a therapist has given him a deep understanding of love, grief, loneliness, resilience, and the quiet struggles people often carry beneath the surface.

John finds peace in writing, not only as a path for his own growth, but also as a way to encourage reflection and healing in others. His poetry gives voice to the emotions many people feel but cannot always express—love, longing, heartbreak, silence, surrender, and hope. He also contributes to The Mind’s Trestleboard, a blog focused on mental health, personal insight, and emotional wellness.

As both a mental health professional and a Freemason, John is deeply committed to the Great Work of inner transformation—helping others build lives of balance, virtue, compassion, and Light. He lives in London, Kentucky, where he continues to serve his community, labor in the Craft, and write with honesty, faith, and purpose.
