Trixi Duppel

Patricia Walker is the imaginative creator behind Miss Trixi’s Home for Misfit Monsters, a whimsical children’s book series celebrating what makes each of us wonderfully unique. Drawing on her love of all things spooky and sweet, Patricia brings to life a cast of quirky, lovable monsters who find friendship, acceptance, and a forever home with the magical Miss Trixi.

A lifelong storyteller and proud “goth mom,” Patricia combines her playful creativity with heartfelt lessons about belonging, bravery, and being yourself. Each book in the series is crafted to spark imagination while gently exploring emotional growth and self-acceptance for kids (and grown-ups) of all ages.

When she’s not writing, Patricia enjoys reading fantasy novels, watching horror movies, and going on adventures with her daughter—who helped inspire many of the monster misfits in the series.

Follow along as Miss Trixi and her monster crew remind us that everyone deserves to feel at home—fangs, fur, slime and all.
