Jessie Clark

Jessie Clark writes thrillers and cozy mysteries about secrets that refuse to stay buried. In her thriller series—including Silent Code International, Vale & Ward, Maya Reeves, Dead Wire, and Utah Shadows—investigators, operators, and attorneys confront buried evidence, institutional power, and technology that changes what people believe. Her stories favor plausible procedure, fair-play clues, and intelligent protagonists who win through observation and strategy rather than luck.

In her Winifred Baxter and Crestwick cozy mysteries, the scale is smaller but the engine is the same: a sharp-eyed sleuth notices what everyone else has overlooked, and a carefully hidden truth begins to surface. The violence stays off the page; the puzzles do not.

Jessie writes for readers who like the question underneath the crime as much as the chase. Some truths don’t stay buried.
