Althea L. Cross was born in Kingston, Jamaica, where she still resides. She attended The Queen's School and furthered her studies by completing her Bachelor's and a Master's in Psychology from Atlantic International University.
I have always believed that stories are more than words on a page; they are lifelines, bridges, and mirrors. My love for storytelling began early, sparked by a curiosity about people, places, and the unseen truths that shape our lives. Writing became my way of making sense of the world: a refuge in difficult times and a celebration in joyful ones.
The path to becoming an author was anything but linear. Life offered me challenges that tested my resolve and seasons of silence that nearly convinced me to give up the pen. Yet, each trial carried within it a lesson, and each setback carved out the resilience I now pour into my words. What began as private reflections slowly grew into a calling to write stories that echo with honesty, empathy, and courage.
Today, I write not only for myself but for the readers who pick up my work searching for connection, comfort, or inspiration. My greatest hope is that within these pages, someone will find a piece of their own story, and in it, the courage to embrace their truth.
These books are continuation of the journey I’ve walked all my life: the journey of turning pain into meaning, questions into exploration, and moments into stories. And if there is one message I wish to leave behind, it is simple, your story matters. It always has, and it always will.
Love and light.
