Lingolora

Lingolora is a picture-book creator on a mission to make “first words” truly first-pronounced words.

A lifelong language tinkerer, she spent her childhood hopping between airports and dictionaries, collecting everyday words like souvenirs. When she couldn’t find kid-friendly books that show a word, say it, and spell it the way English-speakers actually hear it, she began sketching her own.

Each Lingolora page pairs a bright, hand-inked illustration with a simple English-based phonetic key so parents can read aloud—no linguistic degree required. Volume 1, Palabras básicas en español, launches the series; French, German and Italian volumes follow soon.

When she isn’t drawing parrots or fine-tuning syllable breaks, Lingolora is usually road-testing new words with her favorite focus group: nephews, nieces and any travel-curious grown-ups within earshot. She believes fun is the fastest way to fluency—one colorful word at a time.
