Nekaiya Jacobs Pratt

Dr. Nekaiya Jacobs Pratt is a pediatric intensivist at a Chicago Children's Hospital, where she

founded the groundbreaking Curly Hair Council. Featured in Essence magazine and on Good

Morning America, her initiative to provide inclusive hair care supplies has transformed hospital

experiences for countless children. A graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina, she

serves as assistant program director for pediatric residency while championing diversity in

medicine. When not saving lives or expanding inclusive healthcare nationwide, she's probably

watching Shark Week in her shark onesie or dancing with her mom to "I Hope You Dance." She

lives in Chicago with her husband and their miniature pinscher, Reese.
