Patty Almond

Patty Almond discovered her love of the romance genre in high school, favoring those thick paperback historical romances that took hours to finish. She switched to shorter contemporary romances when she had to abandon those epic stories after starting her family and had to sneak in her reading during baby nap times. As she began to follow some of her favorite authors, she started to wonder if she could combine her love of reading with her equal love of writing and bring the characters and scenarios taking up space in her head to life on paper. Up to that point, her writing consisted of poetry (in middle school), family holiday newsletters (which were surprisingly well-received and looked forward to by most), and assignments by her employers who liked her writing style. Patty lives in California, fully embracing her status as kitty mom and grand-mom to an assortment of spoiled cats and one sweet grand-pup -- and enjoys blending her love of travel, pets, sports, and cooking in her stories.
