Halie Damewood

My name is Halie, and after twenty years of writing fantasy (as Halie Fewkes), I fell in love with writing about love. I decided to combine that with my many dreams of starting a hundred different businesses, and life as a rom-com writer fell into place.

I live in the Pacific Northwest, but a lot of my character inspiration comes from the years I spent riding trains and sleeping on couches across the US. Getting to meet and hear stories from every single walk of life has given me an endless well of funny scenarios to draw from, and writing comedy helps put a smile on my face every day. It's a win win for me, and for those who want to read clean, humorous plots about characters who are all just trying their best.
