Raquel Vidal

Raquel Vidal is a Venezuelan author and creator of Azul Guacamaya, an independent imprint dedicated to bilingual books and keepsakes about Venezuela, memory, migration, language, and belonging.

Her work is shaped by the experience of carrying a country from far away, through images, stories, familiar words, food, color, music, landscapes, and the small details that make a place feel like home. Some of her books are made for children and families, others for adults and nostalgic readers, but they all return to the same question: how do we keep what we love alive when life has taken us somewhere else?

Through Azul Guacamaya, Raquel creates books for Venezuelans, diaspora families, bilingual homes, and anyone who knows that memory is not just something we look back on... it is something we pass forward.
