Bob Passi is a retired educator, writer, social commentator, and lifelong student of American democracy. Drawing on decades of teaching, community involvement, and personal reflection, he brings a unique historical and philosophical lens to the political crossroads we now face. His writing blends personal insight with sharp political analysis, helping readers make sense of where we’ve been as a nation—and where we may be headed.

In 2016, he published Saving Democracy: The 2016 Presidential Election—An American Watershed to explore how that election marked a turning point in U.S. history. His newly revised and expanded edition, Saving Democracy: From the Warnings of 2016 to the Urgency of 2025, revisits that moment in light of everything that has happened since, offering a powerful reflection on the fragility of democracy and the role each of us must play in preserving it.
