Chris Middleton

Chris Middleton is the archetypal Renaissance Man. A successful journalist (specialising in robotics, AI, space tech, and more); a non-fiction author of several books; a magazine editor (and editor of more than 50 books on photography, art, and design); and a public speaker, hosting conferences on space technology (interviewing astronauts and astrophysicists), robotics, and AI. Under another name, he is a musician, both solo (with BBC6music and BBC Introducing airplay) and as front man and lead guitarist with Brighton alt-rock band, Space Angel. He is also a poet (The Sacred Hypertext is out now), and a photographer, designer, and illustrator. 'An Insignificant Boy' marks his first foray into literature – since winning a national short story prize in his teens – establishing a voice that is powerful, highly original, and disarmingly honest. Chris designed, typeset, and illustrated the print versions of the book. In his spare time, he is also a member of Brighton Little Theatre. Dive into his world and you may look at things differently.
