Alexander Jung

Alexander Jung is a tenured Associate Professor of Machine Learning at Aalto University, Finland. He is the author of Machine Learning: The Basics and Federated Learning: From Theory to Practice, textbooks designed to make cutting-edge methods accessible to a broad audience. His research focuses on trustworthy and privacy-preserving machine learning, with applications ranging from healthcare to networked systems.

A passionate educator and recipient of the "Teacher of the Year" award from the Aalto University Department of Computer Science, Alexander is committed to high-quality teaching and open-access learning.
