Katrina Ann Rucker

About the Author

Katrina Ann Rucker is an Early Childhood Teacher. She loves chatting with good friends, cooking, and adores traveling, having visited countries all over the world. Her love for working with children began as a volunteer in high school. She later went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Katrina Ann spent several years teaching in the classroom, where her students were considered good citizens, enjoyed high scores on standardized tests. After earning a master’s of Early Childhood Education, she began training other teachers.

Katrina is currently an Early Childhood Native-Speaking English Teacher in Europe. Using literature and bilingual learning strategies, she provides English introductions and instruction for Kindergarten and Elementary school centers. Her students are from one to eight years of age with English as their second language.

Passionate is the perfect word to express how this Early Childhood Educator feels about using literature to teach and create learning experiences for young people. She believes English literature is an amazing way to provide practice for non-native speakers. It’s Katrina Ann’s pleasure to share the stories and teacher-created materials she has used to help children acquire learning success.
