Dor Shachar

Dor Shachar, formerly Ayman Abu Soobuch, was born in 1977 in Khan Yunis, Gaza, into a Palestinian Muslim family. Immersed in an environment of intense anti-Jewish sentiment and growing up near prominent militant figures, his early life was shaped by a narrative of conflict. However, a profound spiritual awakening in his youth revealed his true identity as a Jewish soul.

His path to claiming this identity was fraught with extreme adversity, including persecution, imprisonment, and torture in Gaza, followed by significant challenges upon reaching Israel. Despite these immense obstacles, Dor persevered, driven by an unwavering faith. Today, he is a proud Israeli citizen, a compelling voice for Israel on the global stage ("hasbara"), and a symbol of hope. Dor travels the world sharing his remarkable story, advocating for peace and understanding, embodying the message of his name: "Dor Shachar" – a generation of love, heralding a new day.
