J. D. Serna

J.D. Serna grew up in the beautiful mountain town of Manizales, Caldas, where the hills are so green and high it feels like they’re hugging the sky. Surrounded by nature and raised on the magical stories people told in his community, it didn’t take long for his imagination to run wild. Those childhood tales—about heroes, ghosts, strange machines, and impossible worlds—sparked a deep love for fantasy and storytelling that never left.

Later in life, he earned a business administration degree from the University of the People, blending his creative side with an entrepreneurial spirit. That combo eventually led him to dive headfirst into the world of self—publishing, where he now writes, creates, and shares his stories with readers around the world.

J.D. writes mostly because he loves it—but also because he believes stories have the power to move us, make us think, and sometimes even change the way we see the world. His work mixes sci—fi, fantasy, and philosophy, often with a little bit of rebellion, mystery, or heartache thrown in for good measure.

When he’s not writing, he’s probably sipping coffee, people—watching, reading something weird and wonderful, or having imaginary arguments with characters who won’t behave (it happens).
