Ozan Akyıldız is, on paper, an education administrator—but in practice, a collector of absurdities. Having spent years navigating the rhythm of provincial bureaucracy in Turkey, he has turned the contradictions, oddities, and systemic nonsense he's witnessed into sharp-edged prose. His literary debut deconstructs “normal” and rebuilds it through the lens of the absurd.

His first novel, Asymmetric Mishaps, tells the ironic dance of life in a place where fate clearly doesn’t use Google Maps. His characters are drawn from the outskirts of reality, as he firmly believes the center tends to lie.

Ozan is fascinated by historical research, technological nonsense, low-budget utopias, and the evolutionary roots of storytelling. He enjoys provoking thought—gently—because to him, “comfort zone” is just a brand of sofa.

He loves wordplay, but he doesn’t play games with life. Well... maybe a little.
