Emily Vraga is the Don and Carole Larson Professor in the Hubbard School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Minnesota. She received her PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (go Badgers!) in Mass Communications. Her research uses an interdisciplinary approach to identify and respond to misinformation on social media, to build news literacy outside the classroom, and to understand how people evaluate news and information. In her free time, she loves to travel, cook, read novels, be outside as much as possible when it's warm, and above all spending time with her husband and three kids.
