John Van Stan is an author who cares little for selling books and much for nurturing thought. When he's not writing, narrating audiobooks, or professing environmental science, you can find him trying to remember what life was like before he had opinions about wet moss. He holds various degrees in Environmental Science, Policy, Geography, and English Literature (all of which are available for similar purchase at universities everywhere, should you wish to decorate your own walls). His work lingers at the borderlands of philosophy, science, satire, and speculative fiction - published through his 'Press of a Ridiculous Man', where serious thinking dresses in foolish clothing. John lives in Ohio with his family, a lab full of plant experiments, and a growing sap-stained suspicion that the trees are flirting.
