MJ Shepherd is a storytelling voice dedicated to writing gentle tales about courage, connection, and the quiet strength found in kindness. Drawing inspiration from the natural world and everyday emotions, MJ created the Lumo series to help young readers explore who they are—and how they belong.

When not writing, MJ enjoys walking in the woods, rescuing stray animals, listening to the stars, and imagining new adventures for Lumo and his forest friends.
