Kenneth Chatfield

Kenneth Chatfield is an evangelist, author, and lifelong student of Jesus Christ whose writing grows out of more than four decades of ministry, study, reflection, and life experience.

His work is driven by a simple but enduring desire: to help people see God more clearly, behold the beauty of His holiness, and encounter Jesus Christ as He is revealed in Scripture.

In books such as Jesus the Revolutionary, When the Glory Departs: How Churches Lose the Presence of God Without Realizing It, and his writings on the holiness and presence of God, Kenneth challenges believers to move beyond comfortable Christianity into a deeper life of surrender, repentance, discipleship, and intimacy with Christ. His writing combines biblical exposition, theological reflection, pastoral concern, and a prophetic call for the Church to rediscover the fear of the Lord and the transforming presence of God.

But Kenneth is also a storyteller.

In Adventures of a Common Man, he turns his attention to the humor, struggles, mistakes, relationships, unexpected turns, and lessons of an ordinary life. Through those stories emerges one of the convictions that runs throughout all of his writing: God often does extraordinary things through very ordinary people.

Kenneth's journey has taken him through ministry, family life, professional work, preaching, evangelism, and writing. Along the way, he has remained convinced that the Christian life is not ultimately about building a reputation, defending a religious system, or simply accumulating knowledge about God. It is about knowing Him.
