Veronica Scott

Veronica Scott is an educator, artist, and author with over a decade of experience in K-6 classrooms. Drawing from her background as a designer and writer, she uses storytelling, poetry, and vibrant visuals to craft learning experiences that spark connection and joy.

Her debut book, The Artful Approach to Exploring Identity and Fostering Belonging, is a powerful toolkit for educators who want to create inclusive spaces where everyone can feel seen, valued, and free to be their unique selves. The Artful Approach blends culturally responsive teaching, the arts, and decades of belonging research to offer practical guides, creative prompts, mentor texts, ready-to-use projects, and fresh ideas for exploring identity in the elementary classroom.

Veronica is the co-founder of Artful Belonging Studio, a creative studio and professional learning team that partners with schools, districts, nonprofits, and organizations to help them cultivate community, creativity, and belonging through the arts.

Originally from Houston, Texas, Veronica now lives in New York City. When she’s not writing or teaching, you might find her browsing bookshelves, wandering the halls of museums, or on her forever quest to find her favorite slice.
