Eric Magun

Eric Magun is a multi–award-winning author and filmmaker with roots planted firmly in the punk ethic of doing things your own way. His breakout indie film, Toast with the Gods, smashed Homer’s Odyssey into a surreal, rebellious vision that set the tone for everything that followed. Since then, he’s carved out a body of work that includes unflinching screenplays, raw short fiction, and a fearless poetry collection.

After spending over thirty years in the cutthroat world of international business—much of it navigating the back alleys, boardrooms, and blurred edges of China and Southeast Asia—Eric brings a lived-in grit to his storytelling. His work pulses with the chaos, intensity, and dark humor that come from seeing the world up close and unvarnished. When stateside, he splits his time between the East and West Coasts, usually hunched over pages with something loud blasting in the background.

His debut novel, Thank God For The Sinners, is a dark, hard-hitting psychological thriller that ripped through the indie lit scene and became a five-time award winner, earning recognition from the 2025 New York Book Festival, the NYC Big Book Award, the International Impact Book Award, The Book Fest Award, and the Independent Author Network for Best Psychological Thriller.
