Dr. Tara Rezapour

Tara Rezapour, Ph.D. is a licensed cognitive psychologist and faculty member at the Institute for Cognitive Sciences Studies (ICSS) in Tehran, Iran. She specializes in designing neuroscience-based cognitive training programs and psychoeducational tools, with a deep passion for creating engaging cognitive games for children, adolescents, and adults.

Tara is particularly passionate about helping people better understand how their brain works. Her expertise lies in translating complex scientific findings into simple, practical language that anyone can understand and apply in everyday life. Through her books and interactive tools, she aims to raise public awareness about the brain and empower individuals to take care of their cognitive health.

She holds a clinical license to deliver cognitive training and rehabilitation programs and has years of hands-on experience working with individuals facing cognitive challenges, including those with substance use disorders and age-related decline.

Tara is currently a NIDA INVEST Fellow at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), expanding her research in addiction neuroscience and cognitive rehabilitation. Over the past decade, she has published extensively in top-tier scientific journals and co-developed several training programs that bring brain science into real-life practice. Her work blends research, clinical expertise, and creative design, and she is particularly committed to using brain-based games and accessible education to improve brain awareness and cognitive resilience.
