Carla D. Smith is the author of Bear’s Adventures, a heartfelt children’s series inspired by her daughter, Brookie. With over 20 years of leadership experience and a background supporting early learners as a teacher’s assistant, Carla creates stories that spark imagination, build confidence, and nurture a love of reading. Diagnosed with dyslexia as an adult, she’s passionate about inclusive storytelling and founded Brookie’s Book Nook to make literacy joyful and accessible. Carla also brings her characters to life through voiceover for families everywhere.
